Inspiring Homes #3 | Raif Meşeliler @benraif & Bâli Kerem Güney @balikeremguney

In our Inspiring Homes series, we visit the living spaces of content creators we love to follow and share their inspiring stories with you. In this post, we're guests in Raif and Kerem's home.

Can you tell us a little about yourselves?

Raif, 35, photographer and multidisciplinary designer. Kerem, 33, influencer and multidisciplinary designer. They are also the founders of Project Anxiety.

Which corner of your home do you spend the most time in, and what makes it special?

Definitely our Normod sofa. First reason — it's incredibly comfortable! And the fact that we can squeeze in with 3 cats and a dog, even if it's a struggle sometimes, plus it's right across from the TV. 😅

When you walk into a space, what's the first thing that catches your attention? Light, color, scent, or something else?

We asked each other this question and both gave the same answer: D) All of the above. It's really the combination of all of them, you could call it energy or vibe.

Is there a piece or detail in your home that you'd never get rid of?

We could never part with any of our vintage pieces!

What's the biggest decorating mistake you've made, and what did you learn from it?

Probably not trying things sooner. Our message is clear: don't be afraid to try!

When you're buying something new for your home, how do you decide? Is it impulsive or do you think it through?

It's usually need-driven. But that need isn't always physical — sometimes the feeling of "something's missing here" can create a need of its own. After all, we have a hungrier organ than our stomach: the eye!

What would you suggest to someone who just moved into a new place?

You can get rid of all your old stuff! Think of your new home as a blank canvas. Not everything from your old place will fit in your new one. It's always possible to say goodbye to some things and make room for new ones.

Raif's extra tip: to figure out what you want and how to arrange things, you can build your home in Sims, it really works!
